The Motto of the Higher Islamic Council of Cameroon in abbreviated form “CSIC”, is:

« Peace – Light – Direction – Mercy ».

An Organism for the unity of Islamic institutions and associative movements of Cameroon, it works on the basis of common principles for its members, which are:
  - Certifies that there is no other divinity except Allah and that Muhammad is His messenger.
  -recognize the Holy Koran, Sunna and the case law of the scholars as the only norms for the education of Islam and having authority in faith matter.
  -Closely collaborate between themselves for the realization of targeted aimed and objectives.
  -Besides contributing to spreading and defending Islam, CSIC has as missions of:
- Working in communion to manifest the deep unity of Islam in Cameroon and reinforce the ties of solidarity existing between various structures members;
  -Develop their activities, coordinate their efforts for the expansion of Islam and promotion of the tradition of the Prophet Muhammad (works, institutions etc.);
  -Work for the blossoming of Islamic life in Cameroon by the installation of common social and economic writings of the Islamic institutions members;
  -Coordinate common manifestations for Muslims of Cameroon
  -Facilitate cooperation between structures members to have more effectiveness and impact in actions;
  -Represent Cameroonian Islam to authorities, to Islamic organisms and other institutions;
  -Express the “Voice of Muslims” on questions of general interest, ethical or political order.

The Higher Islamic Council of Cameroon is organized and administered as follows:
