Members >> Council for Protestant Churches of Cameroon (CEPCA)

Created in 1941, the Federation of protestant Churches in Cameroon today Council for Protestant Churches of Cameroon, aimed the defence of the interests of Protestants missions of Anglo-Saxon origin in front of an administration embracing the countries of former French Equatorial Africa such as: Chad, Central Africa Republic, Cameroon, Congo, Gabon.
With the independences of French Equatorial Africa (FEA) countries, the Evangelical Federation was restructured and becomes FEMEC (Federation of Evangelical Missions and Churches of Cameroon), whose objectives remain the search of the unity of Evangelical Missions and Churches working in Cameroon, the experience sharing for a mutual enrichment, the common management of certain plans, the collaboration with less evangelized areas.
The Churches and Missions unity can not be organic but original, spiritual because one can make things differently and work for the same Lord who, in His sacerdotal prayer in John 17:21 has insisted on the Christians’ unity. Denominational conflicts are sometimes a blockage for efficient testimony.
FEMEC counts 11 (eleven) Churches today and regroups 5 millions (5.000.000) believers. The candidacies of other Churches such as the Full Gospel Mission, the Mission of Evangelical Church in Cameroon are under consideration or are requesting for certain sponsorship for their incorporation.

For its functioning, FEMEC created several departments among which two work closely with the Cameroonian State: the Health Department and that of Education. Each Department is led by an Executive Secretary. For more information contact www.cepca-online.org
