The ongoing situation of common projects was also reviewed. This is notably:
- The project of fight against corruption carried out by SeP;
- The project for the improvement of the electoral process initiated by SNJP;
- The project of fight against children’s trade for sexual exploitation carried out by CIPCRE.
Apart from the project carried out by SNJP, those carried out by SeP and CIPCRE have already received their funding agreement by CMC and will start as from January 2008. It is hoped that the project carried out by SNJP will experience a successful outcome before the end of the year.
The meeting of December 13, 2007 is one of the results of both consultations between CMC and its Cameroonian Partners. The first consultation took place in October from 18 to 21st, 2006 in Yaoundé, has enable the participants to know each other through experience sharing; to analyse the actual Cameroonian context of Justice and Peace; to identify the major challenges that faith communities as well as engaged men and women of good will in the promotion of justice and Peace in Cameroon have to face; to develop strategies that will enable CMC to better support the common efforts of the partners in the domains of Justice and Peace. The second consultation held in September from 3rd to the 8, 2007 in Bandjoun gave the opportunity to evaluate the achieved way by the CMC network for Cameroonian partners since the last first consultation; to identify ways and means in order to reinforce the network and o open to it new perspectives; to build up members’ capacities, in pleading and lobbying with a particular accent on the use of the media.
In perspective, the year 2008 will acknowledge three main activities: two meetings of the network’s members, a capacity building session of the members and the third consultation CMC Cameroonian partners.
